The article mentions a methodology which allows people to communicate across the world using the Internet. The actual thing to know here would not be the technological advancement , but affordabality quotient provided to this new technology.

It is great to have technical growth and emerge as the information superpower. But the true challenge for the Indian economy lie in passing benefits to it's rural sector.

I do hear news nowadays where farmers in Punjab and other agrarian states are able to check the world-prices of Rice and wheat at Internet Kiosks. This is an example of how connectivity improves the economy.

Typically, Most industries have a concern that the profitablity does not justify investment in such sectors. I guess small-scale and medium-scale entreprenuers should try to look at economies of scale when trying to figure out what is the profitabality of such a venture.
